Bjorn Jacobsen picked up a guitar at 10 and never really put it down — not even after a serious health scare in high school that threatened his hands. He built his sound the hard way, busking nine hours a day on the streets of New Orleans before an open mic pulled him back toward home. Solo, his original songs run on Southern and New Orleans tradition with Middle Eastern and Klezmer undercurrents, delivered in a raw, Tom Waits-meets-Jim Morrison growl. He's also one half of Bjorn & Robin with fiddle player Robin Chambers — the two met at a Lancaster songwriter showcase in 2013 and have been trading guitar and violin lines ever since, including a regular run at John Wright Restaurant. Catch him solo some nights and with Robin on others — either way, it's real strings and a real voice, no backing track in sight.

York local Connor Green built his reputation the way most good hosts do — through years on the open mic circuit. Now he runs his own room, hosting Open Mic Night every Wednesday at First Capital Dispensing Co., and has been tapped as a featured performer at both Gift Horse Brewing Company and The King George Speakeasy. A steady presence in York's live music scene, whether he's holding the mic or taking it.

🎤

DJ Stygian brings Shadowland to Zoetropolis once a month — a dark-alternative dance night built on industrial, EBM, darkwave, and goth, with the occasional detour into dark disco or alt-pop. They're also behind Lancaster's SPiLL LGBTQ+ social and have shared stages with acts like Front 242 and Vision Video. Come as you are; leave sweatier than you planned.

🎤

A York local who cut her teeth on open mic nights, Erin Levine now runs the room herself — hosting Open Mic & Karaoke at The King George Speakeasy every 2nd and 4th Thursday, 6-11 PM. When she steps up to sing her own set, expect an easy mix of classic rock, pop, and country delivered with the same welcoming energy she brings to hosting.

🎤

Hot Slop Boogie Bop is Ronn Benway and Christine Benway's vinyl-only DJ project — stage names Sweet Xtine and PoppyB — spinning funk, soul, alt, and hip-hop classics from the '80s and '90s straight off the record, no laptop in sight. Catch them at Gift Horse Brewing Company, where they've made themselves at home on the Gift Horse Live lineup.

🎤

Ian Carroll left a 21-year cooking career behind in 2015 to play fiddle full-time, and York County noticed — he picked up the County's 2023 Artist Innovator Award for a foot-percussion rig he built himself. Beyond his own solo record, A Little Journey, he's part of the Monday-night duo Snack Club at First Capital Dispensing, bringing fiddle and harmonies to a room built on old country songs and good shenanigans.

🎤

For more than a decade, Major Vibes has held down Wednesday nights at Tellus360 with Friends-Days — a vinyl-only set built on disco, funk, house, and whatever else fits the mood, running 8 PM to midnight. Free to get in, easy to lose track of time. An established DJ and event producer shaping Lancaster's nightlife, one Wednesday at a time.

🎤

Robin Chambers has been a fixture of the Lancaster music scene since 1979 — she played her first local gig at Lancaster Dispensing Company and never really left. Along the way she's put in time with Gypsy Bleu, Modern Icons, C2H, Backdoor Victoria, and Lavacave, and even got pulled onstage to jam by blues legends John Hammond Jr. and Rory Block back in the early '80s. These days her violin is half of Bjorn & Robin, the duo she and Bjorn Jacobsen built after meeting at a Lancaster songwriter showcase in 2013 — trading guitar and fiddle lines together ever since, including a regular run at John Wright Restaurant. Whether she's playing solo, in one of her older projects, or alongside Bjorn, four and a half decades in, she's still the real thing.

🎤

Snack Club is Ronn Benway and Ian Carroll's Monday-night residency at First Capital Dispensing — old country songs, guitar and fiddle, harmonies, and a healthy dose of shenanigans. A dependable, low-key start to the week for anyone who wants real instruments and real songs over a drink.

🎤

Abigail's Garden is a sister act — Tish Brown on vocals, fiddle, ukulele, guitar, and keys, and Laurie Haines Reese on vocals and cello — blending Celtic and Irish folk with classical touches and the occasional gypsy-rhythm detour. Based out of Mount Joy, the duo moves easily from lively jigs to haunting ballads with warm harmonies throughout, bringing the same sister-energy charm that's made them festival and wedding favorites around Lancaster County to the Log Cabin's piano lounge.

🎤

Adam Blessing works the room solo, acoustic guitar in hand, moving easily between requested covers and his own original songs. His smooth, soulful vocals have earned him real recognition on the Lancaster scene — a 2021 Best Male Solo Artist nomination and the CPMA 2024 Best Male Cover Artist title. It's an intimate, request-friendly set built for a night at the Cabin.

🎤

Beka Jones has been singing since before she could talk and picking up guitar since she was eight — and it shows. Blending heartfelt originals with an acoustic-rock spin on classics from the '60s through today, she brings a Central PA-honed, soulful set to every room she plays.

🎤

Bryan and Rachel Stevenson turn a night at the Log Cabin into one big sing-along, working through a 500-song-deep request list that swings from rock and gospel to soul and blues. Bryan handles guitar and vocals, Rachel lights up the piano, and the two treat their Cabin sets as their own date night — it shows in every song.

🎤

Billing itself as Central PA's original trivia company, Cheaters Never Prosper runs trivia, music bingo, and live entertainment at bars and breweries across the Susquehanna Valley — including stops at The Millworks and Collusion Tap Works. Come for the questions, stay because your team actually has a shot this week.

🎤

Dave Wilson brings serious jazz pedigree to the Log Cabin's piano lounge — a Lancaster-based saxophonist who studied under Dave Liebman and Joe Lovano, and who's shared stages with Wynton Marsalis and Tom Harrell. As leader of the Dave Wilson Quartet he's released seven albums, including a 2022 Coltrane tribute, with music that's charted on Jazz Weekly and drawn Grammy consideration. At the Cabin, expect that same command of tenor and soprano sax in a warmer, room-sized trio setting.

🎤

Dorian Blue Jazz pairs Bill Druck on guitar with Bryan Hoke on saxophone for a set built on the relaxed, lyrical interplay of the Jim Hall/Paul Desmond songbook, with a different guest bassist sitting in each time out for a little extra spontaneity. The two go back decades, having first played together as Dorian Blue in the 1980s before reuniting and picking up right where they left off. Warm, unhurried, and steeped in the Great American Songbook.

🎤

Gimme Gimme Disco is the touring dance party built entirely around ABBA, Bee Gees, Queen, and everything else that ruled the disco era — presented by Burwoodland and run city to city with the same formula: a room full of mirror-ball nostalgia and zero chairs. It's swung through Lancaster before and is back at Tellus360 for another round.

🎤

Every Monday night, Henry Devorick opens up the mic at Tellus360's Open Mic Artist Sessions — covers and originals both welcome. When he's not hosting, he's played bass with Lancaster's Hunter Root and sat in with Winter Parks, and put out his own EP, Nelson Umbrella, back in 2018. A reliable, low-key start to the week for anyone who wants to play or just wants to listen.

🎤

Point of View Comedy has been running Lancaster's longest-standing open mic since it started life as Guy Walks Into a Bar at the Chameleon Club back in 2012 — it's called Phantom Power home since 2020. Hosted by Audrie Marsh and Jarrod Micale, it's a no-cover Monday night where anyone can grab five minutes at the mic, doors at 7, stage at 8, 21+.

🎤

Now in Season 77, Showtime Trivia runs live team trivia nights up and down Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York — and four of their stops are right here in York. Round up a team for Mondays at Splitshift or Sign of the Horse Brewery, or Thursdays at Gift Horse Brewing Company and Genova's Italian Restaurant & Brewery. Same trivia crew, four different bars to prove you know more useless facts than your friends do.

SLP Concerts is a Northeast concert promoter and talent buyer based in Haddonfield, NJ, booking touring acts throughout PA, NJ, DE, NY, and CT — including stops at Tellus360 and Capital City Music Hall. Their roster of past bookings spans America, Avenged Sevenfold, Chris Cornell, Alice Cooper, Green Day, and ZZ Top, among many others.

🎤

Songsmith pairs Lynn Royer's award-winning songwriting and vocals with Steve Davis's guitar work and live looping, building a full-band sound out of just the two of them. The duo brings that same chemistry to Thorn Hill Winery, Grandview Vineyards, and the Greenfield Restaurant & Bar around Lancaster County — and now to the Log Cabin's piano lounge.

🎤

Swing Street brings four seasoned Lancaster and York players — Olivia Daugherty on vocals, Mike Truitt on piano, Pete Bainbridge on upright bass, and Chuck Oettel on guitar — together for jazz standards and inventive twists on old favorites. The quartet loves the Log Cabin's piano lounge for its cozy, old-radio-show feel, especially moving between the venue's different rooms mid-set. Expect swing, soul, and a genuinely fun night.

🎤

Roger Harris on guitar, John Christopher on bass, Dave Santana on drums — The Wave Trio trades in smooth jazz, cool blues, swing standards, and pop tunes reworked for the lounge. It's the kind of set that turns dinner into a night out without drowning out the conversation. Depending on the room, they'll scale up to The Wave Quartet or pare down to The Wave Duo. Catch them at The Log Cabin, or out on the Central PA jazz circuit — Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz events like Harrisburg's JazzWalk, plus local wineries.

🎤

Tuck Ryan brings a warm blend of soul and 70s-inspired pop to the Log Cabin's piano lounge, whether he's solo on guitar and piano or joined by fellow musicians. His thoughtful, soft-groove songwriting has carried him from Lancaster stages to Philadelphia and New Orleans — his recordings are also on Apple Music and Spotify. At the Cabin, his smooth, romantic sound is a perfect match for the room's cozy charm.
