Robin Chambers has been a fixture of the Lancaster music scene since 1979 — she played her first local gig at Lancaster Dispensing Company and never really left. Along the way she's put in time with Gypsy Bleu, Modern Icons, C2H, Backdoor Victoria, and Lavacave, and even got pulled onstage to jam by blues legends John Hammond Jr. and Rory Block back in the early '80s. These days her violin is half of Bjorn & Robin, the duo she and Bjorn Jacobsen built after meeting at a Lancaster songwriter showcase in 2013 — trading guitar and fiddle lines together ever since, including a regular run at John Wright Restaurant. Whether she's playing solo, in one of her older projects, or alongside Bjorn, four and a half decades in, she's still the real thing.
