Log Cabin (1933)

Restaurant
11 Lehoy Forest Dr, Leola, PA 17540

An actual Prohibition speakeasy in the Leola woods — built in 1929 from Lehoy Forest oak, and the booths that once hid the liquor are still the ones you sit in. After repeal it became a restaurant, Charlie DiSantis ran it for fifty years and filled it with over a hundred paintings, and the Liddell family brought it back with a 2017 renovation that added a proper speakeasy lounge. Twelve dining rooms, each one different. Friday and Saturday nights there's live music in the Piano Lounge from 6 to 9:30 — jazz quartets and trios doing three sets. Order a prohibition-era cocktail at the bar and the Crackling Pork Shank 'Osso Buco' after. First Wednesday of the month is the wine tasting, cigar nights hit the patio, and the drive in past the 1849 Zook's Mill Covered Bridge is part of the show. Closed Sundays.
