This is the Taproom at Loxley's, the bar inside the treehouse restaurant at the Heritage Hotel out on Centerville Road at Route 30. Open since 2009 and built on a Robin Hood of Loxley theme, it commits to the bit — you cross a bridge over a koi pond to get in, a living tree grows through the dining room, and the indoor bar wraps around an oak. The Taproom runs 36 rotating drafts, so there's always something new on. Thursday is trivia, Saturday brings a rotating live musician, and happy hour runs daily. Get the fried cheese curds from York Valley Cheese and grab a spot on the two-story patio — the outdoor bar is heated and runs nearly year-round, with room for 230 outside.
