A Haines family winery on a Mount Joy hilltop, family-run since 2009 and grown from founder Larry Kennel's hobby fruit wines into a serious estate operation. The one to know is Grande Rouge, their Bordeaux-style flagship that took Double Gold at the 2016 San Francisco Wine Competition, and Forbes put their Cab Franc on a Thanksgiving table list. The deck looks out over five-plus acres of vines, and that's where everything happens. Live music hits the deck Fridays and Saturdays, 6 to 8:30. Wednesdays are Wag & Wine β bring the dog, they sell dog wine and biscuits β and Thursday nights run 5 to 9 with trivia in the mix. Deck seating is first come, fire pits burn October through April, you can bring your own food, and they're closed Sundays, so make it a Friday.
