Collage has been the go-to "I need a gift and I need it to be good" spot in York since 1983, parked in Grantley just off George Street by York College. It's a joyful jumble of an eclectic boutique — locally made goods, jewelry, home decor, kids' stuff, even gifts for the dog — the kind of place you can walk into empty-handed and leave with the perfect something for someone impossible to shop for. Four decades in, it still nails the small-shop magic: personal, a little quirky, and stocked with things you didn't know you wanted. They'll even gift-wrap it so you look more put-together than you are. Open Monday through Saturday — a reliable save whenever a birthday sneaks up on you.
