A genuine survivor β Bube's (say "Boobie's") is a 19th-century Victorian brewery in Mount Joy that bills itself as the only completely intact pre-Prohibition brewery in the country, and it plays the part to the hilt. Dine in the Catacombs 43 feet down in the original stone aging cellars, grab a seat in the biergarten, and drink craft beer where lager was actually brewed a century and a half ago. This is a destination, not a quick stop β it leans all the way into theatrical, with murder-mystery dinners, themed feasts, and a haunted reputation the staff happily play up. Weird, historic, and genuinely unforgettable: go once for the spectacle, again because you'll want to show someone. Just book ahead β the good stuff (those catacombs especially) fills up.
