Bloom is downtown York's answer to "where do we go when it actually matters." A chef-driven New American spot on North George Street, it's all candlelight, crystal chandeliers, and tufted leather banquettes β the kind of room that makes a Tuesday feel like an occasion. The menu doesn't play it safe either: tuna crudo, bone marrow tartare, a Delmonico ribeye, and skillet rolls worth ordering on reflex. The cocktail list holds up its end β French 75s, espresso martinis, Old Fashioneds, and a few house riffs with names better than they have any right to be. Doors open at 4 and dinner runs till 10 on weeknights, 11 Friday and Saturday. Bring a date, bring your parents, bring anyone you're trying to impress β Bloom does the heavy lifting.
