Saturday Night Live Music at The Cap: Don Carn & Kris Kostoff

Everybody in York just calls it The Cap, and that shorthand tells you everything — First Capital Dispensing Co. is a well-worn downtown dive that regulars treat like a second living room. The beer list runs microbrews and imports, and there's a steady rotation of live blues and groove to give the room a pulse. It's the anti-pretension move: no velvet rope, no craft-cocktail theater, just cold beer and whoever's playing in the corner. On North Pershing Avenue, it keeps things gloriously simple — the kitchen only fires during limited windows, so come for the beer and the band and treat a bite as a happy accident. Post up, settle in, and let the night find its own rhythm. The Cap doesn't try hard because it doesn't have to.
