The bar at Arooga's York holds 45 seats for a reason — settle into one Friday at 9 and stick around till 11 for half off well drinks, drafts, and glasses of house wine. It's bar and bar-dining only (no vineyard pours, sorry, wine snobs), but that's a small price for cutting your tab in half two hours before last call. This is the same Haines Road building that's been slinging food since the Steak & Ale days of '79, expanded to 6,500 square feet when Arooga's took over in 2012 — plenty of room to post up with the flock, order a basket of wings, and let the discount do its thing. Doors stay open till 1 a.m. on weeknights, so there's no need to rush out when the happy hour ends.
