Where
Zoetropolis Cinema Stillhouse
Every month, Zoetropolis hands the mic to Lancaster and lets the town tell its own stories. Lancaster Story Slam returns to the North Water Street stage on September 22, doors at 6:30 pm, with five-minute true stories running 7:00 to 9:00 pm — no notes, no props, no music, just whoever's brave enough to step up and speak to that month's theme. It's one of the more unfiltered nights this indie cinema, distillery, and bar hosts: real people, real stories, judged and cheered by a room that came out for exactly this. Monthly winners take home a pint glass and earn a spot in November's Grand Slam, so there's a little stakes mixed in with the storytelling. Zoetropolis has built its reputation on cult films, live music, and movie trivia, but nights like this are proof the room works just as well when the only thing on stage is a microphone and a story worth telling.
